Aerie Leggings

To this day, American Eagle is the only brand that consistently fits me in pants—and has since 9th grade. The same goes for their Aerie brand and their leggings.

Although I don’t consider myself an especially short person, I have a lot of difficulty finding workout leggings that aren’t too long. Aerie offers trendy workout leggings in short, regular, and long lengths so they’re perfect for any height.

What I love is their simple, yet elegant, design with fun patterns and colors. This pair is my personal favorite.

Nike Flex Supreme TR 4 Women’s Cross Trainers

I got sucked into Black Friday deals and ended up impulse buying these sneakers, but after looking for the perfect pair for months, I was overjoyed when these ended up being exactly what I needed.

Since I tend to workout mostly inside and lift more than I run, I needed something comfortable but not not too bulky. These sneakers are thin enough that I can get solid ground when I squat, but also have enough cushioning and support for intense HIIT or tabata workouts.

If the lady in your life is an avid gym-goer or lives for indoor interval workouts and classes, these are just the right fit.

ViPR Tubes

If you feel like ~splurging~ this year, look no further than ViPR tubes. I raved about these in a recent Boston Magazine article, but they’re something that I really recommend.

The weighted tubes create a dynamic, full body workout and can be incorporated into a variety of moves you already do at the gym. If you’ve hit peak gym boredom, these are the solution.

You can find them on Amazon for a pretty penny. The lightest weight starts at $199.95.

Ipsy Beauty Subscription

Ok, just need to pause for a moment to appreciate this company. I tried Birchbox and liked it, but in my experience with Ipsy goes above and beyond.

You fill out a survey at the beginning to help Ipsy understand your makeup preferences. Each month, a shiny fuschia package arrives in the mail and inside is a makeup bag (yes a bag, not box) filled with 4-6 makeup items. What I love about Ipsy is that the makeup sizes are bigger than Birchbox and things that I actually use. And if you’re not happy with what you’re getting, you can go back and change your preferences or fill out the reviews so that they know not to send you the same thing the following month.

A lot of the Ipsy products are also paraben and sulfate free, an added bonus. All this for $10 a month? Your lady friend will thank you.
